About the Role
We are seeking a driven and customer-focused Sales Professional to join our field-based team covering the North West region. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and converting sales leads – primarily within the commercial sector, with some exposure to domestic customers – through to contract completion.
You’ll be tasked with understanding customer needs, presenting the Calor value proposition, handling objections professionally, and closing sales effectively. You’ll also be responsible for proactively retaining existing customers, managing pricing, and developing a strong third-party network to generate new business opportunities.
Key Responsibilities

Drive new business through field sales and effective lead conversion, securing new contracts.

Retain and grow the existing customer base by offering compelling renewal propositions while maintaining revenue and margin.

Understand customer requirements and recommend technical LPG solutions aligned with Calor’s offerings.

Clearly communicate the value proposition, pricing structures, and deal options to customers.

Ensure compliance with industry siting requirements to reduce failed or aborted installations.

Actively gather and respond to customer feedback to improve the overall experience.

Build a strong network of specifiers, installer groups, and other influencers to generate referrals.

Take ownership of health and safety by adhering to Calor’s Life Saving Rules.

Effectively plan and prioritise workload to ensure timely and high-quality customer engagement and administration.
Key Skills & Requirements
-
Proven experience in a field-based B2B or B2C sales role.

Demonstrated success in selling technical solutions based on customer needs.

Familiarity with CRM systems, particularly Salesforce.

Strong track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.

Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
-
Ability to build and maintain lasting relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Confident negotiator with a clear understanding of pricing impact and profitability.

Strong commercial acumen, including an understanding of financial models and customer lifetime value.

Self-motivated, proactive, and customer-centric.

Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
