We’re looking for a proactive, solutions-focused Transport Planner to join our team in Elland. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy making critical decisions under pressure, this is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in our day-to-day logistics operations.

This role is about more than just route planning – you’ll be at the heart of keeping our delivery promises, solving problems in real time, and ensuring our customer experience remains exceptional throughout the day.

Shift pattern: 

Working hours fall between 6:00am and 9:00pm, based on a rotating shift pattern. During the Winter period, shifts operate on either a Sunday to Thursday or Tuesday to Saturday schedule. In the Summer period, the shift pattern moves to Monday to Friday. Occasional weekend cover may be required, depending on business needs.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Creating structured, efficient delivery schedules using digital logistics tools

  • Responding quickly to unexpected issues like vehicle breakdowns, customer run-outs, and driver absences

  • Adjusting plans to maintain service and efficiency while managing customer expectations

  • Acting as the key liaison between customer service, distribution, and planning teams

  • Monitoring trip reconciliations and resolving discrepancies with strong attention to detail

  • Producing clear shift reports and performance updates for senior stakeholders

  • Continuously improving data quality and safety standards through smart planning decisions
