About the Role:
As the Debt Collections Supervisor, you will play a pivotal role in driving our debt collection efforts. You’ll lead, guide, and mentor a dedicated team to ensure that key performance indicators are met while maintaining a positive and proactive approach to debt collection. This role offers the opportunity to be at the heart of our operations, making a significant impact on our financial performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Guide an Amicable Credit Management sub-team to maximize collections and reduce outstanding debts. Foster a continuous improvement culture that encourages growth and success.
- Achieve collection targets that align with our broader business objectives. Ensure that all team activities are in line with our policies and procedures.
- Set the tone for internal and external customer messaging and communicate debtor reports and KPI information to senior management.
- Model strong negotiating skills to team members. Provide regular one-to-one support to team members, helping them to develop and perform at their best.
- Co-ordinate and deliver year-end audit activities, working closely with our wider finance team.
What We’re Looking For:
Essential:
- Experience in debt collection
- Strong IT literacy with a good working knowledge of Excel.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to negotiate effectively at all levels.
- Excellent reconciliation skills, with the ability to cut through barriers to customer payments.
- Highly organised with strong time management skills. Capable of prioritising and coordinating team activities effectively.
- Sharp analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and a problem-solving attitude.
- Set high standards for yourself and your team, acting ethically and authentically in all actions.
Desirable:
- Experience with SAP and Salesforce.
- A proven track record of line management, coaching, and motivating a team.
