About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic and forward-thinking Digital Marketing and eCommerce Manager to lead our digital transformation efforts at Calor. In this pivotal role, you will drive the development and execution of Calor’s digital marketing and eCommerce strategies, with a key focus on delivering an exceptional digital customer experience.
Reporting to the Senior Marketing & Insights Manager, you will be responsible for leading the Digital Marketing team and acting as the Business Owner for Calor’s suite of digital platforms. This includes lead generation, website content management, performance tracking, and platform optimisation, all aimed at enhancing Calor’s digital footprint and commercial performance.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the strategy, execution, and continuous optimisation of digital marketing and eCommerce activities.
Serve as Business Owner for Calor’s digital platforms, overseeing the performance, front-end development, customer experience (CEx/UX), and ongoing improvements of:
calor.co.uk (Sitecore CMS)
shop.calor.co.uk (Magento eCommerce)
Dealer Shop Portal
My Calor (Global SHVE portal for bulk gas account management)
Network Portal
Installer Finder
Support the development of new digital platforms, including those for cylinder management, the digital help centre, and an enhanced Network Portal.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Apps & Platforms, Sales) to maximise platform performance.
Develop and deliver a Conversion Rate Optimisation (CRO) programme to enhance user journeys and online outcomes.
Oversee the execution of integrated digital marketing campaigns including SEO, PPC, display advertising, email marketing, and website content updates.
Manage agency partnerships and project delivery, ensuring digital initiatives are prioritised, delivered on time, and aligned with business objectives.
Forecast and manage digital marketing and eCommerce budgets in collaboration with the Senior Marketing & Insights Manager.
Monitor and report on digital performance metrics, drawing actionable insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
Lead and develop a high-performing Digital Marketing and eCommerce team, setting KPIs and providing strategic direction and support.
Key Skills & Experience
Degree in Marketing or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
Proven experience in digital marketing and eCommerce leadership, including planning, decision-making, and budget ownership.
Strong knowledge of digital marketing channels, with hands-on experience in:
Google Analytics, SEO, CRO, and content marketing
CMS and enterprise-level eCommerce platforms
Campaign planning and execution across multiple digital channels
Performance reporting and stakeholder management
Experience with tools such as Salesforce, Sitecore, Magento, dotmailer, Jira, Google Analytics, Tag Manager, and Google Optimize is beneficial.
Skilled in content creation, email marketing (automation and campaigns), and agency management.
Proficient in Excel; working knowledge of HTML and Photoshop is advantageous but not essential.
Strong strategic thinking and communication skills, with a results-oriented mindset.
