If you’re passionate about keeping things running smoothly, leading a skilled team, and making a real impact, this could be the perfect next step in your career.

About the role

As our Workshop Manager, you’ll be the driving force behind our vehicle maintenance operation, making sure everything from repairs and MOTs to ADR and insurance tests are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.

You’ll oversee the day-to-day running of the workshop, balancing hands-on management with forward planning. Your leadership will help keep our vehicles on the road and our business moving, while supporting and motivating a talented team of technicians who take pride in what they do.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive, close-knit team and make your mark in a well-established, respected business.

What you’ll be doing

  • Managing the day-to-day operations of our vehicle workshop.

  • Planning and scheduling maintenance to meet Transport Engineering standards.

  • Overseeing budgets and cost control to ensure efficient operation.

  • Making safety your top priority, maintaining a culture of care and compliance.

  • Liaising with internal teams, the Transport Engineering Department, and external bodies such as VOSA.

  • Leading, training, and motivating your workshop team to deliver great results.

  • Managing breakdowns and emergencies quickly and effectively.

  • Monitoring team performance and ensuring everyone has the tools and knowledge they need to succeed.

What we’re looking for

  • Experience supervising a team of vehicle technicians.

  • Strong technical background — ideally with LPG or petroleum vehicles.

  • A full Category C&E driving licence (ADR certificate desirable).

  • Great communication and IT skills, with the ability to stay organised and prioritise effectively.

  • A flexible, team-focused attitude and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

What We Can Offer You

  • Company and performance related bonus scheme.

  • Private Medical Insurance.

  • 25 days’ annual leave + 8 bank holidays.

  • Cycle to Work Scheme.

  • Life Assurance (4x salary).

  • Matched pension contributions up to 7.5%.

  • Retail discounts and more.
