We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Terminal Operating Technician to join our team at the Canvey Island Terminal.
Role Overview:
As a Terminal Operating Technician at Calor's Canvey Island Terminal, you will be responsible for operating process plant and equipment to safely manage ship unloading operations, the storage of Liquified Propane Gas (LPG), and the export of LPG via road tankers, reloading ships, and the Coryton pipeline system. Your role ensures the continued safe and reliable operation of Calor's LPG Terminal assets through efficient operation and routine maintenance, meeting the stringent requirements under the CoMAH Regulations 2015.

You will present essential and complex information in a clear and concise manner for handover to others, ensuring effective knowledge transfer and understanding.
Being proactive in all aspects of site operations and maintenance, you will communicate with the Shift Lead to support and enable satisfactory completion of plans, maintaining business performance targets. You will undertake process isolations to ensure the safe setting to work for employees or contractors and act as the site contact under the terminal's Safe System of Work.
In the event of a site emergency, you will play a supporting role and maintain an incident log, ensuring the safety of yourself and others. You will contribute to the development, review, and update of emergency, security, safety, and operational plans, procedures, and risk assessments to ensure the safe and cost-effective operation of plant and equipment.
Given that Canvey operates 24/7, 365 days a year, you will be required to work shift patterns. The role also involves working in all weather conditions, at height over land and water.
