Position: Crane Operative

Location: Stoney Stanton

 

At Calor, we prioritise safety, efficiency, and professionalism in all our operations. We're currently seeking a skilled and dedicated Crane Operative to join our team at Stoney. In this role, you will be crucial in ensuring the safe delivery, exchange, and uplift of Calor Gas bulk storage vessels at customer premises.

 

Key Skills, Experience & Knowledge:

  • LGV C+E licence
  • Lorry Loader Operator Card (ALLMI)
  • ADR certification
  • CPC - Fully conversant with tachograph and driver’s hours legislation
  • Experience in gas transfer by portable compressor unit

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Co-operate fully with the company to fulfil its legal obligations and develop a positive safety culture.
  • Operate a Lorry Loader Crane safely and efficiently, following all Calor procedures and legal regulations.
  • Drive company commercial vehicles as required, ensuring fitness and availability.
  • Report all incidents and vehicle defects promptly to line management.
  • Undertake necessary training to meet legislative and business requirements.
  • Work as directed by Line Management and in accordance with rotas and driver’s hours regulations.
  • Ensure compliance with safety procedures on all sites.
  • Transfer LPG using a portable compressor unit safely and in accordance with regulations.
  • Provide accurate written and numerical information as necessary for company documentation.
  • Perform additional tasks as requested to meet business needs.
