HGV Technician – Bury St Edmunds (On-Site Workshop)
Are you a proactive and experienced HGV Technician ready for your next challenge? Join Calor Gas and become part of a company that values quality, safety, and expertise.
What You'll Be Doing
Maintain, repair, and modify Calor’s fleet of vehicles and trailers
Perform diagnostics, fault analysis, and technical resolutions
Ensure all work meets strict Health & Safety standards
Operate tools and workshop equipment safely and effectively
Maintain clear documentation and complete all records accurately
Carry out high-standard engineering repairs independently and within a team
Shift Pattern
Core hours: 6:00am – 3:00pm
Late shift: One week in every 4
On-call rota: Introduced after full Calor training is completed
What We’re Looking For
City & Guilds in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent discipline)
Proven experience as an HGV Technician
Strong knowledge of vehicle systems, trailers, plant, and workshop equipment
Skilled in diagnosing and resolving mechanical, electrical & pneumatic faults
Ability to multitask, work to deadlines, and follow H&S regulations
Team player with good communication and organisational skills
HGV C+E licence (Class 1) and ADR preferred but not essential
